Lilia Graue Olmos, MD, LMFT - Summary of Terms & Conditions for my Services
Last updated March 2024.
Hello, dear one! Thank you for being here. This is a simple summary of how I work and what you’re agreeing to when you book any session or package with me. It’s written in plain language, but it has the same meaning as my full Terms & Conditions. When you pay for any of my services, you’re confirming that you fully agree to the Terms & Conditions described here, as well as those that apply to using my website and services in general. Please read this carefully before booking. If anything is unclear or you have questions, please contact me.
Licensing and Scope of Services
I am licensed to practice medicine and psychotherapy in Mexico, and currently live in the United Kingdom. If you are a legal permanent resident of Mexico and physically in Mexico during our sessions, I may provide clinical medical or psychotherapy services in compliance with Mexican regulations.
If you are not a legal permanent resident of Mexico or are located outside Mexico during our sessions, I cannot provide medical or psychotherapy services. In such cases, our work will be limited to education, coaching, mentoring, or consulting.
Specifically:
If you are a permanent resident of a country other than Mexico (for example, the United States or Canada), I cannot provide medical or mental health services, even if you are temporarily outside that country (including Mexico) at the time of our session.
If you are a permanent resident of Mexico but temporarily outside the country at the time of our session (for instance, on vacation in the United States or any other country), our work will also be limited to education, coaching, mentoring, or consulting only.
For clients who are residents of the United Kingdom, all services I provide are educational, encompassing mentoring, coaching, or consulting. While I may integrate frameworks and techniques from psychotherapeutic approaches, such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, and others, into my work, my training and licensure were completed outside the UK/EU, and I am not accredited by UK professional bodies such as BACP. These sessions do not establish a therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship.
What My Services Are (and Are Not)
Coaching, consulting, mentoring, and educational services are not medical or mental health treatment and do not replace care from your doctor, therapist, or other health professional.
Unless you are a resident of Mexico and physically in Mexico during our sessions (as explained above), our conversations do not constitute diagnosis, prescription, or medical or mental health advice or treatment. If something we discuss feels important for your health, please share it with your doctor or another trusted medical or mental health provider.
You agree not to use my services or materials as expert testimony or in any legal proceeding.
I cannot guarantee any specific outcome.
Communication & Emergencies
WhatsApp, email, or text messages are only for scheduling and logistics, not treatment or consulting.
I am not available outside sessions.
If you are in crisis or have a medical or mental health emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency service right away.
Sessions, Payment & Cancellations
Intake: usually two 50-minute sessions, sometimes with a third session for follow-up. You may also book a standalone initial consultation (Wayfinding Session) or packages.
Payment: due at booking, processed in GBP. If your bank uses another currency, it will convert automatically.
Cancellations/Rescheduling: you can reschedule with 48 hours’ written notice. Late cancellations, late arrivals (more than 15 minutes), or missed sessions are forfeited and not refunded.
Refunds: generally not available, except as required by UK consumer law (14-day cooling-off period applies, unless you schedule within the 14-day cooling off period, in which case you voluntarily waive your right to it).
If I ever need to cancel on short notice, you’ll be offered a refund or credit toward another session.
Mentorship Programs
Mentorship is a full-program commitment. If you choose to stop early, all agreed payments are still due.
Payment plans are simply a way to spread out the cost, not a pay-as-you-go model.
If you are in the UK, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel—unless you begin the program within that time, in which case you waive the right to cancel.
Data & Privacy
I keep your personal information private and follow data protection laws. Please see my full Privacy Policy for details.
Disputes
If you have a concern, please email me first so we can try to resolve it together.
If we cannot resolve it, disputes will be handled by arbitration/conciliation under the laws where you live:
Mexico residents → Mexican law, Mexico City jurisdiction
All others → laws of England and Wales
Final Notes
I may update these terms from time to time, and the date above will always show the latest version.
Only you and I are part of this agreement—no third parties have rights here.
