  • "My life is unimaginably different..."

I began working with Lily after living with Long Covid for four years. My symptoms were becoming increasingly limiting — even things as simple as walking to the mailbox, talking to a friend on the phone, or reading a book left me in debilitating pain and exhaustion.

It felt like a prison of fear and pain.

It has been a year and a half since my first session with Lily, and my life is unimaginably different. My world continues to expand in ways I thought might never be possible again — driving to the grocery store, cooking dinner, socializing with friends. But more than that, my internal world is no longer dominated by the fear of sensations that so ruled my life. Lily has helped me to understand why the sensations are present, making it possible to accept them and find agency in the midst of them. I no longer let my pain and fatigue be the deciding factors in my life, and as a result, their intensity and their power over me continue to lessen.

I’m endlessly thankful for the way Lily has gently walked alongside me, using her unique blend of wisdom, empathy, and medical knowledge to guide me towards healing.

    - Caitlin

  • “Alleviated my pain & helped me find a new way of inhabiting my body…”

“When I first saw Lily, my body had been trapped in a chronic pain cycle for a long time. My feet suffered cramps that could last for hours, even days, and each episode felt like a never-ending battle. But beyond physical pain, I also carried a lot of frustration, a lot of anger, and a lack of self-compassion. Lily not only offered tools to relieve the pain, but guided me with patience and empathy to understand its root causes. She taught me to listen to my body with kindness, to recognize the signals coming from my brain and, above all, to turn off the alarm systems that kept me in a constant state of hyperalertness.

Among the resources she recommended, Curable made an invaluable difference in my healing process. The space Lily created was a safe haven, a place where I could be me without judgment, where I could honestly explore the impact many experiences had had on me. Thanks to her support and witnessing, I learned to look at myself with more compassion and to trust my ability to recover. Today I look back and recognize that this path would have been so much harder without her. I am deeply grateful that Lily has been part of my healing process, because her guidance not only alleviated my pain, but helped me find a new way of inhabiting my body and my story.”

    – Ely

  • “No longer avoiding things out of fear…”

“Lily helped me understand that after an experience of intense pain from an injury, my brain was trying to protect me by reactivating the pain, and although my impulse was to keep my hand still and not move it beyond the time it took for the injury to heal, it actually needs to move to recover. She helped me understand that messages of trust and confidence can greatly influence my experience of pain, and engaging these messages has helped me have less pain. I am still working on it, my hand is getting stronger, and although the pain comes and goes I am doing more of my daily activities, and with more confidence.

I can do more and more as time goes by, and when the pain comes I remind my brain that I am healthy and strong. I am no longer avoiding things out of fear, and I am driving again. I am so grateful! If I were to describe what you do to someone else, I would tell them you teach how, in the absence of an injury, or after an injury has healed, our brain wants to protect us by creating pain signals, and how we can let our brain know that we are healthy and that moving is safe and good for us.”

    – Laura

  • "Exceptionally comforting, safe, and coherent healing container..."

“Lily’s exceptional and comprehensive training allows her to see with a perspective that feels more complete and whole than any other practitioner I've seen. With other providers over the years, they’ve come from such a narrow lens, and I felt like they were superimposing their framework, their modality onto what they felt like my healing should look like, rather than being able to step back and see what was actually happening and really meet me where I could feel seen.

Lily’s training only matches her inherent gifts for being able to step back and see with clarity and just intuitive badassery. She is a natural healer, and because of that and her commitment to her work she can provide a holistic container with everything that her clients need in their healing journey. It's like a one-stop shop for healing, particularly from any mind-body concern or challenge.

Something else that’s been so helpful is being able to engage with my healing process with more presence and confidence and courage, and reestablish what was actually possible, what I experienced to be possible. The healing container Lily provides is exceptionally comforting, safe, and coherent, to the point where it feels like things are able to transform with relative ease. I feel safe to bring up even the most sticky or triggering or traumatic parts of my experience, and I am able to process and move through with a sense of relative comfort, and safety, and ease.”

    - Jason

Hi, I’m Dr. Lilia Graue, physician, psychotherapist, and mindbody healing mentor.

I’m also someone who’s recovered from over a decade of chronic back pain.

For over 25 years, I've helped people around the world move toward greater wellbeing, ease, and freedom. In the past five years, my focus has been on guiding others to reclaim their lives from chronic pain and other persistent, disruptive symptoms. I do this through a mindbody approach—the same one that helped me recover and reclaim my own life.

My clients often find me when they are frustrated, and maybe even feeling hopeless, because they have been seeking relief for years, but haven’t found someone who will really listen and help them connect the dots for their unique situation.

They are tired of one-size-fits-all protocols that don’t create lasting results.

If this sounds like you…

You’re not alone, and I’m so glad you’re here, so you can discover your path forward toward meaningful healing.

Do any of these describe you?

  • You’ve consulted with multiple healthcare professionals, yet your symptoms are still a mystery. You’ve been told they may be stress-related, and/or the treatments offered have only provided partial and temporary relief

  • You are curious about the mind-body connection and ready to explore healing and recovery through both a holistic lens and a grounded, science-based perspective

  • You are smart, resourceful, and great at problem-solving — which makes it all the more frustrating that your symptoms continue to be a struggle

  • You think, feel, and care deeply, and need support that can hold your full experience

  • You’ve been told you have multiple food allergies or sensitivities, or that your symptoms are connected to what you eat, but diet changes have either not worked or made things worse while severely restricting your life

  • You experience anxiety and/or depression, (complex) post-traumatic stress, sleep-related struggles

  • You experience struggles in your relationship with food and/or your body image, and want support that honors body diversity and is free from weight-centric assumptions or bias

  • You’re exploring alternatives to a surgical procedure for some kind of chronic pain, e.g. spinal surgery for chronic back pain, nerve block or ablation for neuralgia

You are not imagining your symptoms.
More importantly, you don’t have to live with them forever.

If you're living with chronic pain or disruptive symptoms, you've likely already discovered how the medical system often falls short.

You might have been told it’s all in your head. That you are incurable. That you need to just relax, just believe, just take this medication. Or that you have to learn to manage, because you’ll never be back to normal.

You might have found yourself navigating a maze of specialists, tests, and vague diagnoses with no real path forward —or facing the prospect of invasive treatments or procedures with low success rates and high risks, adding fear and confusion to an already difficult journey.

It’s frustrating, disempowering, and exhausting to keep advocating for yourself in a system that doesn't truly see or support you.

Your current reality doesn’t have to define
what’s possible for your future

There is a growing body of evidence to support that all pain perception is constructed in the brain and central nervous system. That means what you feel is very real — and also within your power to change.  With a background in medicine, psychotherapy, systems thinking, mindbody healing, and evidence-based practices, I bring the mind-body and science-based tools together to offer you an integrated, science-backed, compassionate approach that centers you—your experience, your wisdom, your healing.

Here’s how Reclaim Your Life stands apart:

  • Goes beyond “biologizing” or “psychologizing” your symptoms

  • Moves past fragmented, hyper-specialized care that misses the whole picture

  • Centers and validates your lived experience, rather than pathologizing it

  • Helps you make sense of your symptoms beyond labels and address the root cause

  • Integrates the best of science, mindbody work, compassionate inquiry, and more into a truly holistic approach

  • Empowers you with practical strategies for greater ease and wellbeing

  • Offers you a clear path toward recovery

Your current reality doesn’t have to define what’s possible for your future.

The challenge is: reweaving neural pathways is not as straightforward as mending a broken bone, nor as simple as thinking new thoughts…

The process is layered, nonlinear,
and unique to each of us

Every one of us arrives at this work with different skills, different levels of support, and different social contexts.

Experiences of trauma, living in bodies that are the target of stigma, discrimination, and oppression, and the pathologization of our adaptive responses to adversity and injustice all have an impact on our embodiment, health, and wellbeing.

That’s why healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and there's no shame in a path that takes time or looks different from what others expect.

I will help you find the path that is yours to walk,
and follow it home to a state of ease.

The medical system isn’t built to support
mindbody healing. And yet…

We are not meant to do this alone.

Some people can, and do. Their stories stand out, but they are not typical.

In many of the stories we hear, what goes unspoken is a backdrop of social support and resources.

Ultimately, nobody heals in isolation.

We heal in connection, in a nourishing context, and in relationship.

Here are 3 reasons why individualized support is so often the
turning point in this work:

1
Co-regulation

Our central nervous system requires a baseline level of safety to access curiosity and learning.

We are relational beings, and access to kind, supportive presence fosters the safety and trust we need to begin, explore, or go deeper.

2
Clarity

It often takes a caring conversation to see our own knowing clearly — especially when we’ve been disconnected from our bodymind’s wisdom and distanced from our needs.

We deserve support to parse the noise and discern what’s true and nourishing for us.

3
Compassion

The adaptive responses that once helped us survive — like perfectionism or a loud inner critic — can now get in the way of our healing.

A compassionate partner helps us transform how we relate to ourselves so we can keep showing up lovingly and patiently on this winding path.

The key isn’t trying harder.

It’s doing things differently with holistic support.

I know the frustration of, “I’ve tried everything, nothing is working, what am I doing wrong?”

You couldn’t possibly try any harder. And you don’t have to.

Like me, you’ve probably seen countless physicians, therapists, and healers, many of them the “best” or most renowned in their fields. Maybe you’ve tried medications, acupuncture, massage, Reiki, diets, supplements, special pillows, orthotic devices, and biohacking routines. Maybe some of it helps you manage, but it all demands constant vigilance, putting ever-tighter bounds around life while symptoms persist.

I want you to know you’re not doing anything wrong.

Mainstream Medicine has conditioned us to relate to our symptoms as something to be feared, fought, fixed, and figured out. And it is only human to want to make discomfort go away. Paradoxically, that tenacity and striving only amplify the danger signals, and in turn, more deeply entrench the bodymind’s protective response.

In our work together, I will gently support you in relating to your pain in a radically different way. Because even though the exact steps will be unique to you…

That is how you recover your freedom.

You might have come to believe that you’ll only be able to live a full life if/when your symptoms are completely gone.

I completely understand. For years, pain stopped me in my tracks, and my life kept getting smaller.

And yet…

You don’t have to focus singularly on healing.
You get to start experiencing more presence, connection, and joy, now.

When you lean into practices to support you in engaging with what matters — even alongside  symptoms or fear — you are weaving neural pathways for recovery.

I will help you build a supportive, flexible framework that not only fosters healing, but also opens space and possibilities for you to reconnect with the people, experiences, and activities that bring meaning to your life.

How It Works: Getting Started & What Comes Next

In this section, I’ll walk you through the process for working together 1:1.

My intention is to offer you a clear, spacious path forward — so you can make the choice that feels most aligned and supportive for your healing journey.

If you’re interested in learning and practicing mindbody healing skills in community, join the mailing list to hear about the next group workshop.

  • A spacious first step to explore what’s your best path forward

This work is nuanced and deeply personal—so even the first step deserves time and care.

The Wayfinding Session is a one-time, 50-minute session designed to help us arrive fully and explore whether working together feels right. There’s no pitch, pressure, or expectation to continue—just a space for clarity.

Before the session, you’ll be invited to answer a few optional questions to help me understand what support you’re seeking. You’ll also be invited to share any additional information you'd like - perhaps diagnostic results from your medical team, and anything else that feels relevant.

The process itself helps you create clarity and insight, and it helps me get a broader and deeper understanding of your experience and the kind of support I might be able to provide.

During the session, we’ll spend our time connecting, and I’ll ask if you’d like to begin with a short grounding practice or dive straight into conversation—whatever feels most supportive to you. I’ll then invite you to share what feels most relevant—where you are on your healing journey, what you’re envisioning for yourself, the challenges you’re navigating, and the kind of support you’re seeking. You’re also welcome to ask me any questions you have.

If I feel there’s a way I can genuinely support you, I’ll share what I recommend. If it seems like we’re not the right fit, or the timing isn’t quite aligned, I’ll offer thoughtful suggestions—whether that’s another practitioner to consider, or supportive next steps you can take from here.

I deeply honor what feels like a “yes” or “no” for you. My role is never to convince or overcome resistance—it’s to support your clarity. I don’t expect decisions to be made during our call. You’re welcome to take the time you need.

And if we do decide to work together, I’ll follow up with a confirmation email and next steps.

    What you’ll walk away with:

    • Insight into your experience of pain or symptoms

    • A sense of what your body may be communicating

    • Clarity on the kind of support that would serve you now

    • Personalized resources

    • Guidance toward another practitioner or next step if needed

    Investment: £350
If you move forward with the 6-month program within 14 days, this fee is credited toward your mentorship.

    To Schedule:

Choose a day and time that works for you in my online scheduler. You will see availability in your time zone.

If you don’t see a time that works for you, email me and we’ll see what we can open up.

Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a short pre-session questionnaire. You’re welcome to share as much—or as little—as feels supportive and safe. I ask that you return it a couple of days before our session so I have time to review it with care.

On the day and time scheduled, we’ll meet via Zoom.

  • A personalized container for transformation and deep support

If we decide to continue, we’ll step into a co-created, high-touch container designed to bring nourishment, resilience, and deeper connection to your healing process.

Because healing looks different for everyone, this outline offers a general framework— the details will be tailored and adjusted to fit your unique needs, priorities, and pace throughout our work together.

    This 6-month journey includes:

    • 8 weekly 50-minute sessions to build safety, grounding, and momentum

    • 8 biweekly 50-minute sessions to deepen your practice and sustain progress

    • 8 off-week email check-ins for continued support and reflection

    • Resources, practices, and teachings tailored to your evolving needs

    • Close collaboration to help you stay rooted and responsive as new challenges or insights arise

Together, we’ll clarify your focus, meet your patterns with care, and gently expand your capacity to live with greater ease, integrity, and wholeness.

    Investment

The total fee for the 6-month mentorship is £7,500. You’re welcome to choose the payment option that feels most supportive.

    • One payment of £7,500

    • Three monthly payments of £2,500

    • Six monthly payments of £1,250

If you opt for a single payment, you’ll receive an additional integration session as a thank you for helping simplify the admin side of things on my end.

After more than two decades of working closely with clients, this 6-month rhythm and duration has been the most supportive in creating momentum and sustained healing and integration. If something different feels more aligned for you, we can explore possibilities together. Book your Wayfinding Session and together, we’ll explore the best fit for you.

Getting Started with the Reclaim Your Life 6-month mentorship program

After your Wayfinder Session, once we’ve decided to move forward, I’ll send you a confirmation email with everything you need to begin:

    A. An agreement that outlines the shape of our work together

    B. A payment link—there’s no added fee for choosing a monthly plan, and payments will be automatically processed each month for the duration of your plan. If you opt for a single payment, I include an additional integration session as a thank you for helping simplify the admin side of things on my end.

    C. A scheduling link to book your first session

    D. A warm welcome to mark the beginning of this next step

In our first 1–2 sessions, we’ll explore your experience more deeply—gathering insight, identifying what’s been missing, and starting to put the puzzle pieces together. Your path is uniquely yours, so we’ll focus on what feels most relevant and important to you.

  • Support that grows with you

After the mentorship program, many of my clients choose to stay connected—whether through occasional one-off sessions to check in and remember, or a custom-designed follow-up container with a rhythm and level of support that feels nourishing.

    This could look like:

    • Bi-weekly or monthly sessions

    • Seasonal check-ins

    • Focused guidance when challenges or transitions arise

This ongoing, flexible support is here if and when you need it—to help you integrate, recalibrate, and stay connected to what you’ve cultivated.

There are infinite ways to
engage your bodymind’s healing capacity…

Together we’ll find what works for you.

Attuning to your particular needs and adjusting as we go, I draw from a rich repertoire of science-backed approaches, mindfulness and compassion practices, and emotional processing techniques to help you activate lasting healing.

Modalities and practices include:

Neuroscience Education

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)

Mindfulness & Compassion

Body Based Practices for Nervous System Regulation

Emotional Awareness & Expression Therapy (EAET)

Graded Exposure to Movement

The connecting thread for all these modalities and practices is a
collaborative, trauma-integrative approach.

We’ll co-create a space that moves at a gentle pace, so your nervous system can soften.

  • You’ll be supported in meeting your inner world with kind awareness and greater self-trust.

  • We’ll integrate somatic, reflective, and relational practices attuned to your needs and boundaries

  • You’ll build resources and insight not just for addressing symptoms, but for living in deeper alignment with your values, longings, and purpose.

  • We’ll hold space for grief, celebration, messiness, and growth — all are welcome here.

This is not a program about “fixing” you or “improving” you.
It’s about returning to yourself — with tenderness, with authenticity,
and with the tools and support to build a life that honors you.

Learn more about my approach and the modalities and practices we’ll integrate.

Throughout our time together, I’ll guide you through my flexible framework:

The EASE Method

Healing isn’t about forcing change, it’s about engaging your bodymind’s innate healing capacity.

While the exact practices and pace will be unique to you,

the EASE method describes the four essential threads I weave into every recovery journey:

Entrust: When you create an inner sense of safety and trust, your body and nervous system can release bracing and protective patterns, and open to new possibilities for healing, moving, resting, playing, socializing, and working.

Attune: Meet your emotions, sensations, needs, and desires with curiosity and compassion instead of judgment, and skillfully give yourself the rest, nourishment, movement, and boundaries you need to feel supported, connected, and energized.

Soften: Release any shame, expectations to achieve a certain outcome, or pressure to do recovery — or life — perfectly. Instead, take meaningful and imperfect action, reduce tension, and let healing unfold.

Expand: Healing and recovery are not just about symptom relief. They’re about moving out of constriction and building the life you want to live, growing your ability to be with those you love and do more of what brings you joy, meaning, and fulfillment.

If you’re new to this space…

I’m Dr. Lilia Graue.

I’m a Physician, Psychotherapist, and Mindbody Healing Mentor with 25+ years of clinical and teaching experience.

I’m also someone who lived with persistent pain for 10 years before discovering a neural repatterning program that led to my full recovery.

Before that, it seemed as though I had tried everything.

I was convinced I would never again be able to exercise freely, sit for long conversations, or travel without my special pillow. But here I am, doing all of that and more.

Amazed and inspired, in 2021 I took a semi-sabbatical to further my studies in the neuroscience of pain, psychoneuroimmunology, and mindbody medicine, and began supporting people on their pain healing journeys.

Since then, I’ve witnessed incredible recoveries dozens and dozens of times.

And I’ve observed how each of us has a unique set of challenges, as well as our own mix of resources and skills that can bolster this work. Healing looks different for everyone.

The process isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.

Pain and recovery cannot be separated from the spiritual, environmental,
or cultural fabric of our lives.

That is why I bring together science-backed tools, integrative practices, and a nuanced contextual understanding into a collaborative method that is rooted, not rigid.

The courage, commitment, and patience this process asks of us are much more easily sourced in partnership.

I consider it my privilege, purpose, and deep source of fulfillment to support you on your path.

Together, let’s weave your way back to ease.

Whatever unfolds…

You know your bodymind best, and there is no one right way to engage your infinite healing capacity.

Skepticism is natural, valid, and welcome…

Your doubts belong too.

I know how hard you’ve tried. How many times you’ve been disappointed. And how you may be questioning if you can really do this when you’ve been so impaired by your symptoms for so long.

That’s fair. The path isn’t always easy. I remember how hard it was to retrain my brain some days — and yet, it was easier than living in constant pain while watching my world shrink. It cost less than years of appointments, treatments, and gadgets, and gave me something far more valuable: my life back.

I began this work skeptical too. Bedridden, told by doctors that “managing” pain was the best I could hope for.

If you’re in that place, I understand. I know the tenderness and vulnerability of opening ourselves up to hope, and I honor the parts of you that want to protect you from disappointment.

And I invite skepticism to join us as we gently expand into the possibilities for healing, growing, and living.

We often think we need to wait for our symptoms to fade before life can begin again. But in truth, life begins when we choose to live fully — and healing follows.

When you’re ready to reclaim your life, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Curious about working together,
and seeking more clarity?

The Wayfinding Session

Because this work is nuanced and deeply personal, even the first step deserves time and care.

So that we can explore spaciously and arrive at an honest assessment of what’s best for you, I offer a one-time, 50-minute session for a single payment, with zero pitch or pressure to continue. It’s a chance to arrive fully, look into some of your questions with care, and explore whether working together feels right.

Before our session, I’ll ask that you answer a few questions to get a better sense of the kind of support you are seeking, in as much or as little detail as feels supportive to you.

While we won’t have time to unravel every question or turn every page in your story, you can expect to walk away with:

  • Personalized insight into your unique experience of pain or symptoms—what might be contributing, what your body may be communicating, and where we might begin to invite more ease.

  • Clarity on the kind of support that would serve you best at this point in your healing journey

  • Carefully selected resources attuned to your needs

  • Thoughtful guidance toward another practitioner or path, if working together isn’t the most supportive next step

  • "Turning on a light and illuminating a path toward healing..."

“Lily is gentle, kind, and caring, she offers a genuinely judgment-free and empathetic space. Additionally, the depth of her knowledge and expertise is unmistakable.

After 16 years of enduring chronic pain and repeatedly feeling misunderstood in healthcare settings, I felt helpless and hopeless. Lily helped me understand the role of my brain and nervous system in pain and recovery, shared resources that resonated with my experience, and supported me with practices to help me find balance through graded exposure, easing back into activities I love but had been avoiding.

Working with her has been like turning on a light—helping me make sense of my past and present, become kinder and more compassionate toward myself, and illuminating a clear path toward healing. I’ll be eternally grateful.”

    Violeta

  • "Helped me make peace with myself..."

“Lily has helped me so much to accept myself just as I am, and make peace with myself. This has been so meaningful for me I am 60 years old, and I’d never been able to before.

She’s helped me to stop demanding things of myself that I can’t do, to understand myself, to put things in their right place and dimension, to understand why I feel the way I feel, why some of the things I feel are just OK, and I’ve learned to manage my relationships, especially my very complicated relationship with my daughter, without being so impetuous, without acting from anger, having more perspective.

I feel Lily understands me really well.”

    – Monika

  • “Infinite gratitude for life…”

“If I had to describe my work with Lily in a few words, I would say it has been healing and magical. A companioning in the recovery of my mental health that has felt like a warm and welcoming hug.

At times a steady presence to lean on so as not to fall, at times someone who speaks the difficult truths. I feel infinite gratitude for life, for allowing me to find such a wonderful and capable professional, and for her, for accepting me and being willing to walk a difficult path by my side.”

FAQs

  • I don’t offer complimentary discovery calls — and I’d love to share why.

This work is nuanced and complex. In my experience, 15–30 minutes isn’t enough time for your nervous system to settle, for me to meaningfully understand your experience, or for either of us to assess fit with the care it deserves. Those short sessions can end up feeling rushed — and don’t allow for the kind of presence I value at every stage of this work.

Rather than offer a brief call that risks feeling transactional or performative, I invite you to begin with a Wayfinding Session — a one-time, 50-minute paid session. This is not a sales pitch. It’s a chance to arrive fully, explore some of your questions with care, and explore whether working together feels right and if so, at what pace.

While I won’t be able to answer every question you might have or dive into every aspect of your story in just one session, what I can do is offer perspective, insight, and clarity about next steps. If it’s a fit, we can continue. And if not, I’ll point you toward thoughtful referrals or resources that may better serve you.

If you decide to move forward with the 6 month pathway within 14 days, the full cost of the Wayfinding session will be credited toward your mentorship program.

  • Many of my clients experience a full recovery from their symptoms. Some see significant improvement quickly. Others need more time to build the safety, clarity, and the internal shifts that allow for sustained change.

Because each person has a unique makeup and set of circumstances, I can’t guarantee that you’ll be pain- or symptom-free by the end of our work together. Healing is nonlinear, and there’s no fixed protocol or timeline that ensures recovery for everyone. And still, I want to offer two hopeful threads: this work has helped many people feel a profound difference in their lives — and even when symptoms remain, it’s possible to relate to them with more ease and confidence, and to feel more connected to life.

Also, because this process is deeply personal, I don’t measure success by a single outcome. In fact, narrowly focusing on the absence of symptoms as an outcome can hinder the shifts we want to bring about. (You might have already learned that outcome independence is a core tenet of Pain Reprocessing Therapy.) Instead, I invite you to expand the definition of what healing means for you. It might look like:

    • Re-engaging with activities you’d stopped doing

    • Trying that thing you’ve always wanted to with a renewed sense of agency

    • Feeling less anxious or preoccupied by symptoms

    • Finding that fear no longer runs your life

    • Sitting for long conversations in any chair, and traveling without lugging around special pillows

    • Sleeping better and feeling greater ease and calm day-to-day

    • Ditching Dr. Google and Dr. ChatGPT and trusting your body again

    • Being kind to yourself, free from the endless loop of negative self-talk

    • Meeting your experience and feelings with curiosity and equanimity

    • Setting boundaries in a way that feels supportive

    • Reconnecting with joy, purpose, creativity, and community

    • Having more energy and presence for your loved ones

    • Cultivating whatever it is you want to grow in your life, and taking steps to move towards what is important and meaningful, instead of being trapped in trying to outrun your symptoms

Whether or not pain or other symptoms fully resolve, these outcomes reflect a return to vitality, and a sense of freedom as the healing journey continues alongside a meaningful, vibrant life. The process to get here is not always easy, but it is always worth it.

  • Click here to review a list of symptoms and diagnoses commonly associated with nociplastic pain and symtoms arising from sensitized neural pathways and conditioned responses, rather than ongoing injury, illness, or structural damage. If you are experiencing one or more of the symptoms or have been diagnosed with a condition included in this list, there is hope for full recovery through a mindbody approach.

Beyond the list, my personal experience and over 25 years of practicing medicine and psychotherapy have shown me over and over again that anyone and everyone can grow in ease, wellbeing and liveliness through a mindbody approach. Even in the presence of illnesses in which a genetic or biological aspect is more prominent (.i.e. “structural” conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune conditions, and cancer), we can harness the power of bioplasticity to enhance health and resilience and live more fully.

If you’re curious to explore working together and want to ask about your particular condition, you can either get in touch here or book a standalone Wayfinding Session

  • The most truthful answer is time will tell.

The majority of my clients who experience the most success work with me for 6-12 months, some for 3-4 months, and some for 18 months or longer.

The amount of time and support needed may vary depending on the intensity of your pain or other symptoms, the degree of impairment you’re experiencing, how much support you have in your life, and your capacity for sustained self-direction with self-compassion. If you don’t have a lot of support, feel a lot of fear or resistance around getting started or staying consistent with new practices, or find that your inner critic is really loud, please know this is completely understandable.

Most of us find that our world and our social ties shrink when we fall into dis-ease, as contemporary life in most societies is simply not structured to support community, mutual aid, and care. Additionally, many of us have been taught to link our worth to feeling well and being more “productive”, making it even harder to meet ourselves with compassion in times of pain, illness, or limitation.

I am dreaming of a world where that is not the case, and in the meantime, practitioners such as myself do provide support while meeting our own very real needs.

If you’re interested in working with me, I offer a 6 month pathway as a starting point, which includes 8 weekly sessions followed by 8 bi-weekly sessions. I’ve found this rhythm and duration to be especially supportive in building momentum and sustained healing and integration over time.

That said, the mentorship pathways I offer are designed to be flexible and responsive, with a range of time frames to support your unique needs. If a different structure feels more aligned for you, we can explore options together in a Wayfinding Session.

  • The Reclaim Your Life 6 month pathway starts with a weekly frequency for the first 8 weeks, and then shifts to bi-weekly frequency. After working closely with clients for over 25 years, this container — in its rhythm and duration — is the one I’ve found most supportive for creating momentum and sustained healing and integration. That said, depending on where you are on your recovery journey, and on whether you’re working with other providers or participating in a group program or classes, we can explore other possibilities together in a Wayfinding Session

  • Sessions are 50 minutes and shaped by your needs at that moment. We may, for example, explore education around pain science or nervous system regulation, bring awareness to stuck patterns, practice mindfulness tools and somatic techniques together, offer space to connect with emotions that have been hard to access or express, engage creativity to craft wellbeing-enhancing routines, or tend to grief around loss and recovery — yes, there is grief around recovering and healing too.

Some sessions are spacious and reflective. Others are more structured or directed. Always, we’ll work collaboratively, and move at the pace your bodymind can integrate.

  • I offer between-session email check-ins in the latter portion of the 6-month pathway. Otherwise, our work together will be focused within our scheduled sessions. This boundary supports the depth and sustainability of the care I provide, and also honors your capacity to integrate the work between sessions.

  • If you’re new to my work, we’ll start with a one-time Wayfinding Session. .

Ongoing mentorship is available through programs with a set timeframe. I offer a 6-month pathway as a starting point, as I’ve found that this rhythm and duration provide meaningful support in building momentum and sustained healing and integration over time. If a different structure or duration feels more aligned for you, we can explore possibilities together during your Wayfinding Session. At this time, I don’t offer session-by-session availability for new clients.

  • If you believe you're dealing with a new or acute medical issue, it's important to consult a licensed healthcare provider in your country.

While I cannot diagnose or treat you medically in the context of mentorship, I bring decades of medical and psychotherapeutic experience into our work. I can offer education, context, and perspective to help you better understand your symptoms and have more informed conversations with your care team.

  • Yes. Many of my clients experience mental health challenges, or have received psychiatric diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress, and find this work deeply supportive.

In fact, many of the symptoms in the realm of mental health can be understood in different ways from a mindbody and person-centered perspective. We can conceive them as understandable manifestations of distress and protective mechanisms, making sense of them in a way that honors your unique story, context, and culture. I don’t believe our challenges are signs of something broken or disordered, but rather meaningful responses to the complexities of our life and environment.

Together, we’ll explore what’s arising with curiosity and compassion, creating space for insight, healing, and change that’s rooted in connection—not labels.

It’s important to note that while I bring decades of experience as a physician and psychotherapist to our work, my role in mentorship is not to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. I offer deep presence, education, nervous system and trauma-integrative support, and collaborative meaning-making.

If you’re in active crisis or in need of clinical mental health care, I may encourage you to work alongside a licensed therapist or psychiatrist as part of your support system.

  • While I only offer clinical care as a physician and psychotherapist to residents of Mexico, I bring those lenses — and that extensive training and experience — into every session of pain recovery mentorship.

This means I can help you:

    • Make sense of complex medical language,

    • Translate confusing or scary diagnoses or findings,

    • Integrate context and nuance in a way that reduces fear and overwhelm

    • Gain clarity on the process of deprescribing or tapering off medications to support informed, empowered conversations with your healthcare provider

    • And offer guidance and education that’s both accurate and compassionate

Rather than spiral or get lost down rabbit holes of internet searches or worst-case scenarios, you gain access to insight, grounded education, and practical guidance rooted in expertise and evidence-based practice.

Equally — or perhaps, even more — important, I am deeply comfortable with the full range of human experience, from health to debilitating illness, from uncertain prognosis to end of life, and from deep challenge to thriving through connection, creativity, and purpose.

I’ve sat with people of all ages in moments of all-consuming fear and grief, physical vulnerability, emotional complexity, trauma responses, and profound transition — as well as moments of expansive joy, deep love, and the vibrant aliveness that can emerge even in the midst of loss and difficulty.

This has deepened my ability to stay present, attuned, and steady even in experiences that may feel especially intense, unsettling, triggering, or overwhelming.

You don’t have to go through those moments alone. I will meet whatever unfolds with radical presence, curiosity, clarity, and compassion.

  • As part of my commitment to equity and sustainability, I offer as many sliding scale spots as I can while still meeting my needs, with priority given to those in countries with lower income and limited or no access to welfare or social security. At this time, all spots are full, and there is a waitlist.

You're warmly invited to join the waitlist. When you do, you'll receive a curated list of trusted, like-minded practitioners who may currently have availability at a lower rate.

I also offer a growing library of free resources and practices, as well as periodic free or low-cost workshops. If you'd like to stay connected and be the first to hear when new offerings become available, you're warmly invited to join my mailing list. I’d love to share these resources with you.

My rates are structured with care and intention to reflect the time, expertise, presence, and deep labor — emotional, intellectual, and somatic — that this work requires, while also sustaining my practice and meeting my financial needs and responsibilities, including caregiving for my elders in Mexico. This allows me to continue showing up fully and sustainably for those I serve.

Fair compensation for care work, especially when offered by women and practitioners from historically excluded communities, is part of the more just world I’m working toward.

  • I am not in-network with any insurance providers.

Depending on where you live, and on your insurer, you may be able to receive some reimbursement if your policy has out-of-network benefits. In order to do this, you will be required to have your Primary Care Practitioner provide a diagnosis for you, and approve in writing the services you’ll be receiving from me.

It is best to call your insurance company to find out what your benefits are, to see if you are eligible for reimbursement.
