Mentoring in support of the work you do in the healing and coaching spaces

Welcome, dear one! I’m so glad you’re here and so grateful for the work you do in support of others and of a world where more beings can nourish healing, joy and liberation.

Our work in the field of mindbody medicine and coaching, neural repatterning approaches, and bodymind (re)learning for wellbeing and ease can be incredibly gratifying, and at the same time deeply challenging.

We all need support to do this work, to walk alongside others on their healing journey, to nourish our passion and our life’s work, to be sustained by the work we do. We need spaces to engage in exploration, understanding and meaning making, to have open and honest conversations. Spaces where we can celebrate, grieve, and be supported by fellow healing professionals.

Through our work together you’ll cultivate resilience and resourcing, tune in to your voice and strengthen the impact of your work rooted in your values, at the same time as defining and honoring supportive boundaries to sustain self-care. You’ll also be supported in unlearning limiting and oppressive conditioning and narratives around health and dis-ease.

Some aspects in which coaching and mentoring can be supportive include:

  • Conversations to clarify your own approach in integrating different frameworks

  • Translating your professional learning into facilitation skills in support of individuals and groups

  • Healthy Boundaries for Kind People® in support of you, your life and your work

  • Nourishing lovingkindness, compassion, and resilience

  • Self-stewardship when supporting people who live with the imprint of trauma – and where this meets your own experience

  • Going beyond PRT, EAET, and the biopsychosocial model – towards an understanding of complexity and what works for you and the people you support

  • Fostering justice and trauma integrating care

  • Exploring your beliefs and narratives to create spaciousness, expansiveness and flexibility

  • Your continued healing as you support others

  • Growing in ease around money, power, and visibility as a healing professional & unlearning conditioning

  • Vulnerability and authenticity – releasing the professional mask

  • Moving beyond the impostor syndrome

We’ll talk about the people you support (patients/clients). We’ll talk about frameworks, theories, skills, and interventions. And, most importantly, we’ll talk about you: the gratifying, the painful, the challenging, the wonderfully unique. We’ll practice together to tune into the wisdom of your bodymind and curate resources for what you wish to continue exploring.

I believe that those of us who work in healing spaces can change the circumstances and paradigms that impact human lives. I value genuine, vulnerable, brave and honest conversations. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you if you struggle or hesitate in your work or your life – or if you yourself continue to experience pain or other symptoms. I believe you need a safe space to talk about it without amplifying guilt, shame or impostor syndrome.

My approach is grounded in the knowledge that we heal and learn in the context of a loving relationship, in being met with unconditional positive regard. What I offer is not a conventional didactic space – it’s not about me lecturing or imparting truth. It’s about the two of us co-creating a space of insight about who you are, how you show up for yourself and others, who and what you care about, your strengths, challenges, and edges of growth. You and I will be co-participants, co-learners, collaborators, co-grief tenders, co-liberators (a term coined by my dear friend and mentor Lucy Aphramor to refer to the collaborative and collective work of liberation).

I have 20+ years of experience in medical education, mentoring and “supervision” (I much prefer intervision) for healing and coaching professionals, and group facilitation. You can read more about me, my training and experience, here

“Dr. Graue was one of my first mentors when I started coaching patients with persistent, neuroplastic symptoms. During the months that she advised my coaching cohort, her profound knowledge, coupled with perceptive guidance, set me on a path to becoming a better, more effective coach, while simultaneously enhancing my own journey as a self-healer. Dr. Lily has a gift for leading and teaching. She integrates the skills of a therapist and the knowledge of a medical doctor to promote understanding of the bodymind, neuroplasticity and biopsychosocial methodologies to health and healing. More impressively, her expertise allows her to approach mentoring with quiet authority, creating safe spaces for collaboration and learning. Time spent with her feels uplifting and meaningful. Working with her feels safe, nurturing, and kind. I am, and will always be, grateful for the guidance and insights I’ve gained through my association with Dr. Graue.”

“Dr. Lilia Graue’s mentorship has been an invaluable gift, deepening my understanding of the body-mind connection, bioplasticity, growth and healing. With her guidance, I’ve experienced a profound personal transformation, navigating my own chronic pain journey with greater ease, grace and resilience that has had a remarkable impact on my coaching practice for individuals with chronic pain.

Lily’s ability to embody the roles of a mindful and compassionate physician, therapist, consultant, coach and mentor demonstrates her expertise, versatility and dedication. Her unmatched understanding of the complexities and nuances of the human experience, combined with her relentless pursuit of knowledge and open-minded approach, sets her apart as an unparalleled and exceptional figure among body-mind professionals and practitioners.

I am immensely grateful for her mentorship, support and wisdom and the impact our relationship has had on my personal and professional growth. The transformative impact she has had on my life is truly invaluable. “

“Dr. Lilia Graue has an unparalleled grasp of how to heal from mindbody illness through her broad training in medicine, psychotherapy, and coaching. When she was my mentor, she would bring precision, warmth, and insight when responding to my concerns, often drawing from several domains to bring a new perspective. She’s creative, thoughtful, and despite all her expertise, she keeps a sense of beginner’s mind and humility, always listening carefully and not leaping to conclusions. I would highly recommend her to people looking to find healing and support as they help others heal. “

Equity Pricing & Pay It Forward

People with marginalized identities, non-conforming bodies, disabilities and mental health challenges face barriers to healthcare and wellness services due to systemic and institutionalized oppression.

I offer sliding scale, equity-based pricing for my clinical services in Mexico. At the moment, all of my sliding scale slots are full.

When you pay my full consulting fee you are helping me support others who cannot afford to, and contributing to equity and social justice.

Support an individual to get the support they need

If you're able to give financial support for someone who needs to work with me, I've created a Pay-It-Forward fund.  Any amount is appreciated. Just reach out to let me know you’d like to donate. Thank you for your generous support!

Thank you to Anuradha Kowtha from Manifest by Design and Hilary Kinavey and Dana Sturtevant from Be Nourished for their inspiration in wording the section on equity pricing and Pay-It-Forward.
